STX Next’s Python developers are set to continue the company’s mission of spreading effective coding practices by speaking at two Python conferences in the coming weeks, EuroPython and PyParis.

Maciej Polańczyk, Sebastian Buczyński and Rafał Nowicki will take part in EuroPython in Rimini on July 9-16 2017 as speakers. Maciej will present an introduction to using mock and patch in Python, including common use cases in developing unit tests. Sebastian’s presentation “Why you don’t need design patterns in Python?” will showcase Python features that in some situations can eliminate the need for classic design patterns. Rafał Nowicki, speaking at EuroPython for the second time, will present a review of Python REST frameworks, highlighting the best libraries for building RESTful web applications.

Maciej Polańczyk will also give his presentation on the subject of Python mocks and patches next Monday, June 12, at the PyParis conference. Attendants of the talk can look forward to the Polish Python developer preparing a special ‘mock-it-o’ drink during the presentation as a prize.

Maciej and Sebastian are both senior Python developers with years of experience, working on software development outsourcing projects at the Łódź branch of STX Next. Rafał contributes his skills as a full-stack Python developer at the STX Next office in Wrocław.
