Scammers Are Using Our Name: Here’s What’s Going On
Over the past few weeks, we’ve seen a rise in fake ads and messages where scammers pretend to be STX Next. They offer quick profits, promise jobs or training, and even ask people to install apps or share personal data. These offers are not coming from us.
We’re a legitimate consulting company. We don’t offer financial products or require anyone to download an app to work with us. If you’ve been contacted with such requests, it’s a scam.
How to Recognize a Scam
Scammers often use a few common tricks to make their offers seem real. Here’s what to watch for:
- Too good to be true promises: Offers of fast and high profits with little effort are almost always a red flag.
- App installation requests: We don’t have a company app. Anyone asking you to install one “for training” or “security” is likely trying to take control of your device.
- Requests for card or banking info: Never share your payment card details or move your money to a so-called “safe account.” That money is going to the scammer.
- Contact only through chats or phone calls: Scammers avoid official channels and rely on private chats, making it easier to impersonate us.
- Urgency and pressure: They may push you to act fast – to transfer money, withdraw cash, or install software without thinking twice.
What to Do If You’re Targeted
If you think you’ve been contacted by a scammer pretending to be STX Next:
- Stop communication immediately.
- Do not share any personal or financial information.
- Report the account or ad on the platform where it appeared.
- Contact your bank if you’ve already shared financial data.
- Update your passwords and secure your online accounts.
- Let your local authorities know, especially if you lost money.
We’ve reported the fake websites and apps that have come to our attention, but these schemes evolve quickly. We’re counting on the community to help flag and report suspicious activity.
A Few Final Reminders
- Our official website is: https://www.stxnext.com. Be careful – fake sites might look similar but include random letters like "ue", "op", or "bos".
- We don’t use a corporate app, and we never ask for banking details or offer financial investments.
- If in doubt, reach out to us directly at: hrteam@stxnext.pl or via our official social media pages.
